In 2016, the company embarked on a comprehensive effort to attain CE Markings for building and construction under the entire European framework.
This process was demanding, involving extensive testing for technical dossiers, submission of a European Assessment Document (EAD), third-party inspections, and more. After seven years of dedication, Nord-Lock became the first brand of securing washers with CE Marking in 2023, allowing many of its wedge-locking washer series to carry the marking, including Nord-Lock® steel and stainless steel washers.
The X-series washers, which received the CE Marking in 2025, benefited from the groundwork laid during this arduous process. Frank Götz, Nord-Lock's global business development manager, explains that the company had all the necessary documents and inspections in place, making the addition of the X-series a smoother endeavor.
